A review of Bristol Motorcycle Training Centre by Leslie Warren written on Monday 23rd of June 2025
I started riding trials bikes here in the (very) early 1980's (Kevin and Terry Phillips if I remember correctly? Kevin had a TR7V8!) and I then passed my motorcycle test soon after, about 1983 I think, on a DT175MX, Part 1) I've since owned 58 consecutive motorcycles, ridden all over Europe and India (Enfields across the Himalayas, KTM's across Romania, various sports bikes at Spa and the Nurburgring) having ridden road, track-days and off-road-these people laid the foundations of a great life, one that's been full of adventure and a they nurtured a passion for two-wheels that I still hold dear as I approach 60 years old, I had a GPz900R when i was 19, and subsequently GSXR's/Fireblades/R1/Duca
ti's etc. Than from the turn of the century a decade of KTM's and now a GS1300 as I attempt to mature, have kept up their ethos of active risk-management and constant improvement so still (of my own volition) do the occasional Bikesafe and Ridesafe course with the Police just as a skills-check. If any of the Phillips family read this, please accept my sincere thanks for doing what you do, and fer getting off to the right start, with the right attitude, still love motorcycles and motorcycling after all these years, and glad your business has survived. Kind regards, (a very grateful) Leslie Warren. Aged 59 and three quarters..
