It was a serious mistake to have used Abode to manage our two properties in Bristol.

Quite apart from a whole catalogue of minor errors (phone numbers not updated, rent miscalculated, new keys not collected after lock change, repeated requests for information ignored), a far more concerning issue was that the property inspections were completely unreliable. Obvious indications of serious problems, including rotting floorboards, sinking shower trays and huge patches of black mold on walls were either not noticed or simply ignored. An entire shower unit, which I had been informed by Abode was in 'good condition' in fact had to be completely ripped out and replaced because the damage was so extensive. Abode's neglect of my property has cost me thousands of pounds.

I have now changed to an alternative property management agent, but it has been a hugely expensive mistake to have used Abode. I cannot recommend strongly enough that landlords take their business elsewhere..
