"Lockleaze secondary school"

A review of Lockleaze School by Dave Thomas written on Saturday 21st of April 2018

I went to Locleaze school straight from Filton Ave Primary school in 1962.

It was still fairly new then. I did 5 years there before starting work in 67.

I look back at that time with such great memories. At the time it might have seemed different. I remember Miss Devanney all too well. Was it Dr Littlejohn the headmaster then?

Mr Porter was my tutor and Maths teacher the first year. Never forget him. Very tall, and soft spoken. He was a good teacher.

Remember the houses. Burke, Beaufort, Fry and of course my house Cabot, the blues.

Yes I had a great time looking back. It would be good to share thoughts with someone of that same era.

Dave Thomas.
