Bristol - Railway Stations & Trains

Bristol has two principal railway stations.

Bristol Temple Meads is near the centre and has regular high speed trains to London Paddington, as well as other local and regional services. There is also a limited service to London Waterloo from here, plus scheduled coach links to most major UK cities.

Bristol Parkway lies in the city's northern suburbs and is mainly served by trains to Birmingham and the North East and high speed services between Cardiff and London.

Bristol's main suburban railway is the Severn Beach Line to Avonmouth and Severn Beach. The Portishead Railway is open for freight only as far as the Royal Portbury Dock, although plans to relay a further three miles (five km) of track to Portishead have been discussed.
