A review of Knowle Bowling Club by Big Ron written on Wednesday 4th of April 2018

My wife and I joined last year so we could have a shared interest and make new friends. What a brilliant thing we have done. In the club there are many varied social events that take place throughout the year and we were included straight away by the very welcoming and friendly members . Having never played before, we were surprised to be playing a Club Competition within the first month.

Our next step was to be playing against other Clubs the week after, and this introduced us the friendly bowling community. We also played on tour in Penarth and I played in the Bristol & District League also the Somerset League. The Ladies are at present playing 35 friendly games a season but are also intending to rejoin the Ladies leages when their membership increase from the present 18. We have now become a fully Mixed Club so, apart from the League Matches, everybody is eligible for all matches..
